Day 5

too be added

Day 4

4/01/2010 Freshly grown and ready to pick. There is nothing like the taste of freshly picked home grown tomatoes.

Day 3

03/01/2010 Just hang'n around.

Sported a roll of old rusted wire out against the back fence so though that it might be a good setting for Riplea Bear. Must admit I got a bit mean hanging him by his ears,s till he seems none the worse for wear.

Day 2

02/01/2010 Tonight I wandered out into the back yard to an old favourite, my passions fruit vine where I found a flower just opening. Funny, I hate the taste of passion fruit, but the flowers are a delightful subject to photograph.

Day 1

1 January 2010

Well here we are at the beginning of the year 2010 and I have decided to restart the 365 project that I commenced in October. Unfortunately this was derailed by a combination of work, study and family issues which combined to ensure that I had little time for photography and absolutely no creative energy.

Tonight I was walking back to the house from hubby's garage when I noticed the beautiful rose bush that hangs over the neighbors fence had a bloom that was well past it's best. Out came the Canon G9 set to macro and on 400 ISO. I took the image into photo shop and using one of the presets in Nik Colour Effex to strengthen the 'decayed' appearance.

10/11/2009

Well I still have to process images from Saturday and Sunday night. No image last night or tonight as I have not been able to focus on taking any images. Also not focusing on completing the assessment tasks fro my uni course, simply not focusing on what is important right now. Will try to regain focus by the end of the week.
Anyway, a couple more images from Ripponlea until I can get myself organised.

6/11/2009

24/365 Well no image taken tonight so I have used an image from my trip to Brighton Baths last night and processed using Nik Effex Silver to transform to B&W then applied a film effect to heighten the contrast. Lazy I know, but this image really caught my eye while I was wandering around and this is the look I had in mind when I took the image.

Now I need to get to work on deciding on my image for tomorrow :)

5/11/2009

23/365 I met up with a group of friends from 5 minute photographer web site at the Brighton Baths tonight. This image was entirely accidental in nature and resulted from my going to take a photograph of the lights on the pier and moving the camera downwards during the resulting long exposure. I really like the effect and I guess some striking images are the result of pure serendipity. The only post processing on this image was to crop to a panorama format and to put the border on. I look forward to other "mistakes" in the future.
